Item Description

These well-known alkali pegmatites, with unusual REE minerals, are famous for excellent and large aegirine crystals, feldspars, arfvedsonites and rare Be minerals. Pyrochlore Group combinations are uncommon and desirable - this is actually the first we have had amidst hundreds of Malosa specimens. This striking and outstanding large combination is dominated by the dramatic, 9.0 cm, intergrown cluster of lustrous aegirine crystals with etched terminations. Tiny, lustrous, olive-green to -brown, Pyrochlore Group octahedrons, 4 mm, are aesthetically scattered on the aegirines and exceptional matrix of blocky microcline crystals. The large aegirines are pristine and the two noted broken aegirines on the microcline have no impact to this superb quality of this ultra-fine combination rarity from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $750-1000 for quality and rarity.
