Aegirine on Feldspar

Item Description

A striking and aesthetic cluster of lustrous, jet-black aegirine crystals on feldspar matrix dominated by the stunning, 4.2 cm, four-sided, spearpoint. The aegirines have showy green higlights, common to the species. One of the smaller aegirines has a nifty little quartz needle embedded in the termination. The termination of the large aegirine is pristine and the contact and the broken crystal in front of the large aegirine are minor detractions. Very highly representative of the species and locality.
