Aegirine ex Obodda

Item Description

An impessive, large, tapered, aegirine spike from Mt. Malosa. The spiked termination of the lustrous, olive-green to black, four-sided crystal is caused by etching. Attached to the sides are sharp, blocky, lustrous, rust-brown crystals of either orthoclase or siderite, which are uncommon in this form and combination. The forked termination is very gently bruised. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and from the finds about 10 years ago. Herb valued this unusual and uncommon combination piece at $225, at that time.
