This item is part of a special benefit auction for the Rice Museum of Rocks & Minerals (ricenorthwestmuseum.org). Items are either deaccessions from the museum's collection or were donated by generous supporters listed below.

Classic old Mexican adamite, showing the incredible bright green fluorescence these are famous for. This is an older style, probably from before the 1970s, and features an incredibly sparkling carpet of glassy adamite crystals and minor calcite. A true beauty in both normal and under fluorescent lights, it also has a pleasing shape to it as a display specimen. No damage to the large horizontal display face.
