Item Description

Richly colored, spherical aggregates of Cuprian Smithsonites sit on beautifully contrasting gossan matrix. The color is a strong blue-green with a vitreous luster. Reminiscent of the best Cuprian Smithsonites from anywhere in the world with regard to color. It is amazing that in a country as large as Russia, there are only two known localities for Adamite! A great representative specimen of this beautiful material. Formerly in the Richard A. Kosnar collection, who obtained the piece from noted dealers of Russian minerals, Heliodor.
