Adamite (strongly fluorescent)

Item Description

This is an atypical specimen of Adamite from Ojuela with its green-yellow color and tight bundles of scintillating crystals that cover and cascade down the front, sides and part of the back of the piece. It isn't your typical pinwheel clusters and it's quite unusual as there are literally hundreds of incredibly lustrous, 4 to 7 mm crystals in tight radial aggregates, sheaves and some approaching single crystals. A radial aggregate on one side in the front measures 1.5 cm across. The display surface the Adamite covers is very sculptural and three dimensional and composed of ocherous, orange-brown Goethite as can be seen on the bottom and part of the backside. It has a large overall display surface covered with the most sparkly, highly lustrous green-yellow crystals. It displays very well. SHOCKING neon bright green fluorescece is strong, under any UV light!
