Rare, sharp, large for the locale, pseudo-octahedral adamite crystals, to 1.5 cm, aesthetically line a sculptural vug in the small cabinet limonite gossan matrix on this outstanding specimen from the famed Ojuela Mine. The glassy and lustrous, translucent crystals are a rich honey-yellow. The significant large crystal and the crystal attached to the large crystal tip are pristine. Periphery wear noted to adamites only on the left side of the vug is only a modest detraction. Neon-green LW UV fluorescence. See the 2003 Ojuela Mine Mineralogical Record Mexico Special Issue II, Vol. 34, No.5. The base has been sawed and the piece displays beautifully without aid. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection, a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces.
