Adamite (fluorescent)

Item Description

A classic old Adamite from Mapimi, with lustrous spherical growths of radiating crystals to 2.4 cm in size, on classic ocherous matrix. This is an old classic, now hard to find in such size and quality at any kind of a fair price. Once common, they are rare now except for "reference level" specimens, on the market. This piece actually could benefit from cleaning, and is more or less as it came from the mine. The luster is superb, and the richness and size of the piece give it a value of $1500-2000 easily, based on what we have seen for sale around the block in the last few years (more $$$ yet, if you go by prices on a certain famous Mexican collection dispersed by one of my peers...)
