Item Description
A limonite vug is filled with extremely lustrous and translucent, apple-green crystals of adamite, to 1 cm in length. They sparkle and glow from so many reflections! This is classic old material, probably of 1970s or early 80s vintage, and is just a beautiful large plate of the likes seldom seen for sale today. The crystals appear to be diverging and radiating sprays. The luster is so strong that the specimen appears to be a pincushion of light. Some damage, but it is minimal in context and this is an extraordinary rich piece that in today's market is worth a surprising amount to us "old-timers" who remember them when they came out. Here, its auctioned based on the owner's previous and old cost basis, starting at $500...I would value it very fairly in the $1000-1500 range, as its a nice specimen
