Item Description

This mine is very well known for it's Adamite specimens, but some of the most highly sought after specimens of the Cuprian variety of Adamite are found here. This piece features a notably large, sharp, lustrous, translucent, blue-green color crystal of Cuproadamite measuring 2.0 cm with additional Adamites sitting on Limonite matrix. The main crystal on this piece is certainly larger than the vast majority of Adamite crystals I've seen from this mine, and the fact that it's the rare and desirable blue-green copper-bearing variety makes it all the more interesting. These specimens are not nearly as readily available as they once were, and the best of these pieces are truly some of the most significant Adamite specimens extant. Valued at $1450, and could probably be trimmed down to fit into a thumbnail box. How often does one find individual crystals of Adamite measuring 2.0 cm with this color!?
