Adamite (Cuprian)

Item Description

Classic vivid blue Cuprian Adamite from the historic Ojuela mine in Mexico. The color is not common for Adamite from any locality, and the sparkling luster makes this piece very desirable. Dozens of sharp, well-formed, lustrous, "wedge"-shaped crystals can be seen all over the Limonite matrix. The crystals are admittedly small (about 2 mm), but they looks beautiful up close. The piece is in excellent condition overall. The color is what matters here. This mine is well known for its amazingly intense colors of Adamite, and this small cabinet is certainly a great example of said material. Valued at $500 retail.
