Item Description

A beautiful specimen of these intensely colored Copper-bearing Adamite specimens from the famous Lavrion Mining District in Greece. Mining has taken place around Lavrion for thousands of years, and specimens are still being found to this day. This attractive cabinet sized display features a rich coverage of sparkly, bubbly, INTENSE blue-green colored Copper-bearing Adamite on off-white Quartz matrix. The display side is in excellent condition and the piece looks even better when backlit, as the color just explodes. This particular hue is rarely seen in Adamite, and there are only a few places in the world (Ojuela and Tsumeb come to mind) where you find Adamites like this, so don't miss out on these specimens as few of them were found, and who knows if more will come out again in the future.
