Item Description

Adamite from the famous Ojuela Mine is one of the most classic representations of a species from a particular locality in the world. Some of the finest and most colorful examples of Adamite have come from this mine, and can be found in private collections and museum around the world. One of the most popular varieties of this material is the copper-bearing Adamite with a beautiful green to blue coloring. This piece is a nice example of said material featuring dozens of sharp, lustrous/sparkling translucent crystals of Adamite with colors ranging from an icy blue to more of a greenish blue to more of a yellow color in areas sitting on oxidized. Looking closely, you can see the crystals are all razor-sharp with textbook form and beautiful striations on the surface. The largest crystal is about 2 mm. No major damage, outside of the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall.
