Item Description

One of the most classic localities for Adamite in the world is the Ojuela Mine in Mexico. Some of the most spectacular display specimens of the species are found at this mine. This piece is a great example featuring a coverage of classic "pinwheel"-shaped or "fan"-shaped groups of soft yellow colored crystals aesthetically set atop contrasting Limonite matrix. The largest crystal group measures 8 mm across. No major damage I can see anywhere, and the piece displays good green fluorescence under UV light. The crystals are best viewed with a bit of magnification, and look great up close as they are notably sharp, gemmy and very well-formed. A fine quality specimen of this beloved material.
