Actinolite (rare locality specimen) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A classic and hard to find specimen of Actinolite from Wrightwood featuring somewhat vitreous silky crystals with a rich blue-green hue. The crystals are mostly contacted, but it's difficult to find any good specimens of this material on the market, as I've only seen a handful over the years. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#52). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
