Acanthite w/ Calcite ex Obodda (superb miniature!)

Tightly intergrown, highly lustrous, metallic acanthite crystals are hoppered and have a striking melted look on this surreal combination piece from the famous mines at Fresnillo. A superb miniature we cleaned up after finding in old Herb Obodda dealer stock. The two glassy, translucent calcite rhombs are a super compliment and look like an alien pack animal carrying two boxes on its back in one view. Some of us here think it looks more biological. In any case this is an artistic and excellent multi-sided combination, very rare in this style. The flared crest is striking. The luster and overall complexity is appealing. It is a SUPERB miniature for acanthite from any locale. valued $2750.
