Item Description

An uncommonly rich and showy silver ore specimen from this well-known British Columbia silver mine. A rich vein of bright, hackly, euhedral to subhedral, acanthite crystals hosts small pods of beautifully burnished curled and curved silver wires, to 5 mm, on the right side of the piece. The acanthite/silver vein has been etched out of the underlying calcite and there is a 2 mm thick sulfide vein on the bottom of the piece. Specimens of this richness and combination quality are SELDOM on the market. Choice material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Value??
