Minerals specimens of ANY species are RARE from this well-known old mine at historic Guanajuato. Nubby, sparkly, battleship-gray acanthite has pseudomorphed an aesthetic and sculptural 360-degree intergrown cluster of sharp pyrargyrite crystals. The stunning, sharp, hoppered 1.8 cm pseudo at the top dominates this superb rarity. The piece is very nicely accented with a few bright metallic stephanite crystals and contrasting clusters of tiny orange-brown siderite crystals. Ex Dave Stoudt Mexico Collection and comes with a probable 1960s or 70s label with a more recent $750 price from around the year 2000 or so. Valued today at $1500-2000 for rarity and combination quality.
