Item Description
This amazingly sculptural, stout, wire silver looks like a serpent or dragon with a striking frilled head or a gnarled, twisted tree trunk with a very strange flower. The wire is a composite of thinner silver wires coated with acanthite. A very fine and aesthetic miniature from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Very little new material has come from this well-known mine lately. If it were from Kongsberg in Norway, this would be a $3000 specimen - but instead we get comparable quality from Peru at a lower price. That being said, it is a really GOOD Peruvian silver!
