Item Description

Here we have a wonderfully aesthetic and eye-catching Acanthite specimen from the famed Imiter Mine in Morocco. A beautiful group of well-formed pseudo-octahedral crystals in a stacked formation, creating a "tree"-shaped specimen with fine visual appeal. It has a LOT of character for an Imiter Acanthite, as it's very three-dimensional and showy, and is essentially a complete "floater" with no damage or point of attachment I can find. The largest individual crystal measures 1.3 cm. PLEASE NOTE: There are some people that label these specimens (and Acanthite in general) as being pseudomorphs after Argentite, but they are technically paramorphs as Acanthite will actually transform into Argentite in an environment where the temperature reaches above 177° Celsius, but they are not pseudomorphs. Valued $2,400.
