Item Description
What a wonderfully aesthetic and eye-catching Acanthite specimen from Imiter. This piece is a filled with well-formed pseudo-octahedral crystals in a stacked formation, creating a "tree"-shaped group with notable visual appeal. It has a LOT of character for an Imiter Acanthite, as it's very three-dimensional and showy, and is virtually undamaged to boot. The largest individual crystal measures 5 mm. PLEASE NOTE: There are some people that label these specimens (and Acanthite in general) as being pseudomorphs after Argentite, but they are technically paramorphs as Acanthite will actually transform into Argentite in an environment where the temperature reaches above 177 degrees Celsius, but they are not pseudomorphs.
