Item Description

These specimens came out of Porco about 5 years ago, and they were very limited in quantity. The parcel that I purchased only contained a handful of specimens, all of them thumbnails. They were, however, the first contemporary Acanthites that I had seen from Porco in my life. This piece will not set any records for the world's finest Acanthite, but it is a VERY hard to find specimen of this beloved silver sulfide from this incredibly important Silver mine. The Porco mine is THE oldest and most significant Silver mine in Bolivia which is really saying something considering the countless tons of Silver ore that this country produced over the last 400 years!
