Item Description

Here is an aesthetic small cabinet example of Acanthite from the major Moroccan find from 2005 at the Imiter Mine. This dignified piece consists of a prominent, elongate, branching groups of lustrous, gray-silver Acanthite consisting of a few dozen, 0.5 to 1.5 cm, octahedral structures internally to Acanthite (which is monoclinic) with decreasing temperature-shaped crystals accompanied by a secondary, elegant, elongate, compound Acanthite crystal measuring 4.5 cm in length. These crystals originally started their life as Argenite, the isometric (octahedral in this case), higher temperature form of silver sulfide and subsequently restructures at lower temperatures resulting in Acanthite which is monoclinic. It is a stately cluster for the species that is assembled vertically upward for great presentation and aesthetics that looks fabulous front and back!
