Item Description
Excellent aesthetics characterize this very fine crystallized Silver specimen associated with some minor Acanthite from decades-old finds at this well-known Moroccan locale. Long stalks of thick, elongated Silver crystals to 3.5 cm in length are topped with complex, angular clusters of what appear to be cubo-octahedrons. It is a very sculptural and architectural piece that is a significant departure from the more common Silver specimens from here. All of the Silver is beautifully shiny. Some of the Silver cuboctahedrons are coated by and possibly intergrown with some charcoal-gray Acanthite. The crystals are growing from a small, pale olive colored, fine-grained Hedenbergite matrix. This is an exceptional Silver specimen from Morocco, of unique style to this locality, and would be impactful from anywhere for that matter!
