Item Description
Exceptional large 360-degree muscovite from the major large 1989 find at this well-known pegmatite prospect. Striking highly lustrous hexagonal rosettes of beautiful pearlescent silvery-rose muscovite "book" plates are dramatically, densely intergrown. The plates reach 4.8 cm across on this sculptural piece. Strikingly pristine. Formerly in the Wolfgang Henkel Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale. Ex Wouter van Tichelen Collection. MUCH better in person! These are considered to be some of the finest muscovite specimens ever produced and this is a superb large example.
