Item Description

Aesthetic and well-composed aquamarine small cabinet combination from the well-known pegmatites of the Shigar District. The two aquas artistically highlight the piece. The striking large 5.5 cm, pristine, textbook hexagonal glassy prism has fine ice-blue color and is gemmy/translucent. The pinacoidal termination is interestingly frosted and etched. The beautiful limpid, lighter blue 4.2 cm agua has a frosted and etched complex pinacoidal termination. The smaller prism has two contacts where other crystals once lay, but there is no damage, per se. The aquas are smartly set on the sculptural interestingly etched albite crystal matrix, that includes schorl crystal sections at the base. An excellent aquamarine combination from the locale, that displays well from either side without aid. Classic Shigar aquamarine.
