Item Description
This striking, very fine and rare quartz on pyrite is special in that it is Chinese, NOT Peruvian (where most such contemporary twins come from) AND, that it has three Japan-law twin quartz crystals strategically scattered on it! The largest twin is 5.7 cm across and the largest quartz crystal is 5.7 cm and is doubly terminated. You just do not see this sort of aesthetic specimen from China, that you see abundantly from Peru. The quartz crystals have a quite distinctive silky/frosty look to them and are beautifully complimented by the blocky, brassy, striated and frosted, pyrite cubes. The piece is in great shape, for such dense coverage, with only trivial, barely noticeable termination wear to a few quart points and periphery wear to one pyrite cube. Very choice and rare material from this locale. Valued at $750-1000. For the quartz or locality collector, this is really good.
