1930 German 20-year commemorative mining medallion

Item Description

A rare and very interesting 1930 German mining artifact. This mint copper medallion celebrates working 20 years at the Louise Mine, an ancient iron mine that also produced Pb-Zn-Cu minerals. One side has an excellent rendering of the shaft house and the back has a classic frog candle lamp and states that 152 million tons of iron ore has been produced.
