TUCSON SHOW FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday February 14th, 2019
Ends Thursday, February 14th, 2019
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We're in Tucson, and the auctions will keep rolling. We have a great selection of rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from recent shows / discoveries along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including the newly acquired collection of David Burgess along with Brian Lloyd, Rolando Gioia, Charlie Key, Dr. Stephen Smale, Geary Murdock and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. RARE "Trapiche" habit RUBY crystal from Myanmar
2. Newly mined unusual "windswept" CHALCEDONY from Greece (very similar to Cornwall)
3. Fantastic GLOWING yellow STURMANITE on matrix from South Africa (ex David Burgess Collection)
4. HIGHLY AESTHETIC FLUORITE with HUBNERITE on QUARTZ from the Sweet Home Mine
5. Wonderful GEMMY green FLUORITE specimen from China (ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection)
6. A cool SPESSARTINE GARNET on matrix from China with an eye-catching DOUBLY-TERMINATED SMOKY QUARTZ
7. Rarities include POLYDYMITE, LAZURITE pseudomorph after PHLOGOPITE and KERMESITE
8. Page 2 features assorted worldwide minerals (focusing on European and North American localities) from the Kay Robertson Collection
