Mineral specimens from this smaller, less well-known Cobalt-Gowganda region silver mine are seldom on the market. This is an extremely rich and impressive large ore specimen of a 2.8 cm thick silver and quartz vein sandwiched between greenstone matrix. Most of the burnished silver is wormy, nubby or hackly, but a super 1.0 cm "flag" of spinel-twins really adds character. Very rich, showy and rare ore from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Previously in the W. Fink Collection with a 1974 date. Mass is 910 grams or 2 pounds!
