Item Description
Here we have a fantastic near full cabinet sized specimen of the classic and now very hard to find Fluorites from Madoc. This piece features sharp, well-formed, WATER CLEAR twinned crystals of Fluorite with a soft green hue. The Fluorites are cuboctahedral in habit are nearly 100% transparent. The piece was difficult to photograph, but looks much better in person. These are iconic specimens, and no Fluorite collection is complete without a really good Madoc piece in it. This piece comes with an old hand-written label that states it came from W. Krause on January 15, 1969. These are big robust crystals are very attractive for the material and the species in general. Valued at $2,000 in the inventory.
