We are proud to present a special auction featuring specimens from the collection of Richard ‘Dick’ Hauck, including a wide variety of rare and interesting historical specimens.
Richard Hauck co-founded the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, New Jersey with his brother, Robert after purchasing the land in 1989, three years after operations at the Sterling mine ceased in 1986. He is a charter member and a former President of the Franklin-Ogdensburg Mineralogical Society, the Geoliterary Society, and the Franklin Mineral Museum. The mineral species Hauckite was named in honor of him in 1980.
