Special Dr. Erika Pohl-Stroher Collection Auction

Welcome to a special auction FEATURING MINIATURES (among others) and another Alien Eye fluorite deaccessed from the collection of Dr. Erika Pohl. We are honored to announce our collaboration with the Pohl family to gradually release thousands of specimens from the extensive collection of Dr. Erika Pohl-Stroher (1919-2016) of Switzerland to the world of mineral collectors. Dr. Pohl dedicated over 70 years to collecting minerals and amassed the largest known collection. Her expertise covered a wide range of minerals, resulting in a collection comprising suites of nearly 100,000 specimens. For this auction, we will begin with Africa, where we have selected over 1000 specimens from the African collection to be sold in auctions throughout 2023-24. Monthly auctions will alternate with quarterly special auctions showcasing very high-value specimens, including many with five-figure values, all starting at no reserve. This special auction focuses on significant classic minerals from Africa, with a particular emphasis on Tsumeb and Morocco.
