Native platinum nuggets from the placer deposits of Siskiyou County, California are a very rare and highly desirable species. This is a rare, old locality for placer nuggets. It is a shiny, typically rounded, 7 mm, placer nugget with nice scalloped textural features on both sides. Mass is 3.5 carats or 0.7 gram. Older material and seldom available on the market.
