POST-TUCSON MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday March 14th, 2019
Ends Thursday, March 14th, 2019
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from recent shows / discoveries along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including the newly acquired collection of David Burgess along with Brian Lloyd, Rolando Gioia, Charlie Key, Dr. Stephen Smale, Geary Murdock and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. A lovely polished slice of natural bi-colored AMETRINE from Bolivia
2. Classic gemmy "phantom" FLUORITE on matrix from China (ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection)
3. A VERY AESTHETIC old time ILVAITE on HEDENBERGITE from Elba, Italy
4. Attractive green DEMANTOID GARNET from Afghanistan
5. Wonderful "floater" group of GEM twinned GYPSUM crystals on GYPSUM from Canada
6. GEMMY pink FLUORITE with MUSCOVITE from Pakistan
7. Rarities include SAMPLEITE, VAUXITE on PARAVAUXITE, GRANDIDIERITE and PHOSPHOPHYLLITE
