POST-TUCSON FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday March 29th, 2018
Ends Thursday, March 29th, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from Tucson along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Rolando Gioia, and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. A stout, richly colored, 447 gram, doubly-terminated AQUAMARINE crystal from the Jaqueto Mine, Brazil
2. Newly mined specimen of multicolor OPAL in PETRIFIED WOOD from Indonesia
3. Classic red rhomb of RHODOCHROSITE on "needle" QUARTZ from the world famous Sweet Home Mine in Colorado
4. A hard to find matrix specimen of COPPER PSEUDOMORPHS after ARAGONITE on a sheet of COPPER from Bolivia
5. Rare, sharp, intense orange color of gemmy CLINOHUMITE from Tajikistan
6. An obscure and good quality golden CALCITE specimen from the Santa Fe Mine, near Hawkerville, Oklahoma
7. Classic, old, rich green color crystals of CHROME DIOPSIDE from Outokumpu, Finlad
8. Page 2 features plenty of minerals from the Kay Robertson collection
