Item Description

Two specimens of the incredibly rare hydrated magnesium sulfate, Kieserite from the Hansa Mine. These specimens are the only two examples of this mineral that we've ever had to offer in the auctions, and frankly, may be the only two examples that we've ever seen, period! This mineral is known from several world localities, but specimens are virtually impossible to obtain. These two specimens are fine massive examples of Kieserie with an off-white color that are studded with small bright white spots of what appears to be another species (perhaps Sylvite?). Don't miss out on owning a PAIR of specimens of this incredibly hard to find material from this lesser known locailty in northern Germany. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2089). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
