Item Description

An expressive, colorful and uncommon combination from the famous Jalgaon District. Nubby white mordenite balls are aesthetically set in the curved vug with starkly contrasting pretty purple amethyst points and an underlying chalcedony layer. The large central ball is 1.7 cm. The right side has a broken section of a colorless calcite rhomb. Mordenite and amethyst combinations of this quality are rare from Jalgaon. Ex J. Murray Collection.
