POST-DENVER SHOW FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end October 5th, 2017
Ends Thursday, October 5th, 2017
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
This week's auction is filled with new material we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. You'll even find a few fossils, carving and gemstones mixed in every now and then. Look for pieces mixed in from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Kay Robertson, Francesco Bedogné, and Paul Zerfass, along with dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's include:
1. Classic gemmy blue INDICOLITE TOURMALINE from Brazil with dark blue-purple-black colored "caps"
2. Beautiful free-standing "spray" of ERYTHRITE on matrix from Morocco
3. Gorgeous, GEM quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, "phantom" cubes of FLUORITE with Barite and Calcite from Spain (ex Paul Zerfass Collection)
4. An old classic and historic pseudomorph of blue-lilac CHALCEDONY replacing FLUORITE from Trestia, Romania (Transylvania) (ex Kay Robertson and BRITISH MUSEUM Collections!)
5. Gemmy reddish-pink rhombohedron of RHODOCHROSITE from the Moose Mine in Gilpin County, Colorado
6. RARE gemmy, intensely colored "Trapiche" Habit RUBY crystal from Myanmar (Burma)
7. Wonderful, rare "butterfly"-twinned crystals of PHOSPHOPHYLLITE on matrix from Bolivia!
