NEW YEAR'S MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - featuring specimens from the newly acquired DAVID BURGESS COLLECTION - end Thursday January 3rd, 2019
Ends Thursday, January 3rd, 2019
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
This set will run for two weeks so as not to interfere with the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from recent shows / discoveries along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including pieces from the newly acquired DAVID BURGESS COLLECTION along with Willard Wulff, Paolo Matioli, Rolando Gioia, Charlie Key, Geary Murdock etc., plus various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Wonderful, very sharp, highly lustrous, AZURITE crystals with MALACHITE from Milpillas, Mexico
2. Beautiful BI-COLORED (PINK and PURPLE) SAPPHIRE crystal from Winza, Tanzania
3. Fantastic multi-colored "phantom" FLUORITE crystal group from the Denton Mine, Illinois
4. Classic, unique "TRAPICHE" EMERALD from Muzo, Colombia
5. Fine old time pseudomorph of blue-green CHRYSOCOLLA from the Ray Mine, Arizona
6. Fantastic WATER CLEAR AQUAMARINE crystals on Albite from Pakistan
7. Large, blocky, thick, very well-formed "BAVENO"-TWINNED MICROCLINE from Pakistan
8. Rarities include GRANDIDIERITE, FRESNOITE, ZEKTZERITE, & TINAKSITE with CHAROITE
