Item Description
An old-time, showy gold on quartz specimen from the Mother Lode. Bright, hackly microcrystalline gold is aesthetically concentrated on the front of the quartz knob, that rises up from the vuggy massive quartz matrix. The base of the piece has been sawed to enhance the display. The old paper label dates this to the late 1800s to early 1900s. From a museum collection. Classic California.
