Item Description
An impressive, sculptural, uncommon, old-time, large sawed end slab of silver, erythrite and calcite from this old Cobalt silver mine. Arborescent clusters of dendritic silver clusters are accented with patches of carmine-red erythrite in the starkly contrasting calcite matrix. You can see erythrite embedded in the wall rock on the back. Albert LaRose was one of the early discoverers of silver in 1903 at Cobalt and the mine is named after him. RARE large combination material and seldom on the market. 632 grams mass or 1.4 pounds mass.
