Intergrown, sharp, lustrous, mottled gray-brown textbook almandine garnet dodecahedrons, to 2.5 cm, from the famous Otz valley. Bright light reveals sections of wine-red color adding pizzazz to this classic rich plate set in muscovite schist matrix. All the crystals in the interior are pristine, and the one spot of periphery wear certainly has negligible impact to this excellent plate from this historic locale.
