Large Chalcocite ore w/ Chrysocolla (RARE - old) ex Ghent University, Belgium

Chalcocite is VERY RARE from this old extinct Katanga copper mine. MINDAT does not list the species for the locale. This is an impressive large and hefty ore specimen of massive solid, lustrous metallic-gray chalcocite enhanced with various shades of chrysocolla. This rare old-timer probably dates to prior to 1960, when the country was a colony of Belgium. Hefty, very rich copper ore at 1384 grams or 3.0 pounds mass.
