FINE MINERAL COLLECTION AUCTIONS featuring historic Mineral Specimens - Ends June 3, 2021

This week we strived to give you another random mix of species, locations, and historic oddities, but especially emphasizing interesting locality classics and California treasures mostly from the lifelong collections of Dr. Bob Reynolds, long the curator at the San Bernardino County Museum; and Bill Larson (longtime owner of the Himalaya mine and a famous San Diego collector). So many items in these collections we simply never see on the market today – and yet here they are, up for auction! Nobody has picked over our stock during COVID, and these are NOT show leftovers, but are being released FIRST to the internet as with the majority of both collections.
Also included here are some very special prizes from a surprise - a mid to late-1800s era mineral collection out of Zurich, with great old classics!

1. Rare old treasures from a 19th century Zurich collection including a superb pre-1878 Romanian BARITE

2. Fine selection from the Bill Larson San Diego County Pegmatite and GARNET collections

3. TOURMALINES from California and Brazil

4. large Ohio CELESTINE

5. late 1800s Thunder Bay AMETHYST and a rare 1889 English CALCITE from the British Museum
