POST-DENVER FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday October 11th, 2018
Ends Thursday, October 11th, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from Tucson along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Paul Zerfass, Rolando Gioia, Charlie Key and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Large GEMMY purple / lilac colored "phantom" FLUORITE group from Spain
2. Desirable "white cap" AMAZONITE crystals from Colorado (ex Dave Bergman Collection)
3. BIG impressive porcelain-esque CARLSBAD TWINNED MICROCLINE with SCHORL from Pakistan
4. Attractive doubly-terminated "floater" GEMMY SMOKY QUARTZ specimen from the California Blue Mine, San Bernardino County, California.
5. Classic reticulated twinned CERUSSITE on matrix from Tsumeb
6. An interesting pink CHALCHEDONY specimen from the childhood home of Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
7. Rarities include FERRONIGERITE-2N1S, TUGTUPITE, MENDIPSITE and VAUXITE with PARAVAUXITE
8. Page 2 features assorted worldwide minerals (focusing on European localities) from the Kay Robertson Collection
