FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday May 3rd, 2018
Ends Thursday, May 3rd, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from Tucson along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Francesco Bedogné, Paul Zerfass, Rolando Gioia, and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. A piece of the new and unusual PURPLE QUARTZ ("Grape" Chalcedony / Agate) from INDONESIA
2. Multicolor, cat's eye and scepter habit TOURMALINE specimen from Brazil
3. Newly mined, unique and interesting "BLOOD VESSEL OPAL" from San Luis Potosi, Mexico
4. Beautiful "phantom" red BROOKITE crystals on matrix from Pakistan
5. An inside-out pseudomorph of QUARTZ replacing TOURMALINE from Brazil
6. Rarely seen gemmy reddish colored TWINNED crystals of MANGANONEPTUNITE from Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada
7. Classic blue ANATASE crystal from Norway
8. Page 2 features assorted minerals from the Kay Robertson collection
