FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday March 1st, 2018
Ends Thursday, March 1st, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
Back from Tucson and we've got a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from Tucson along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Rolando Gioia, Francesco Bedogné, Paul Zerfass and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. A newly mined multi-colored "phantom" zoned FLUORITE specimen from Pakistan
2. Attractive DIAMOND crystal from the Miba Mine, Democratic Republic of Congo
3. Unusually compressed doubly-terminated, gemmy green TOURMALINE from Brazil
4. GOLD on QUARTZ from the Timmins area, Ontario, Canada
5. A hard to find pink FLUORAPATITE specimen from the Akzhaylyautas Mts of Kazakhstan
6. CHAMOSITE ("Thuringite") pseudomorph after ALMANDINE from Michgian
7. Doubly-terminated QUARTZ crystals with EPIDOTE from Capelinha, Brazil
8. Plenty of assorted minerals from the Kay Robertson Collection!
