FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday March 15th, 2018
Ends Thursday, March 15th, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
We have a great selection of material that we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. Look for new goodies from Tucson along with new collection acquisitions to appear in the coming weeks. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. We'll still have selections from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Rolando Gioia, and plenty of pieces from Kay Robertson along with various dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. A very attractive and fine quality Multicolor OPAL Carving of a Sea Turtle from Ethiopia
2.
3. Sparkling, bright yellow, gemmy crystals of MIMETITE from the Guatomo Mine ('Hat Yai' mimetite locality), Thailand
4. Superb quality, GEMMY, classic BRAZILIANITE crystals on matrix(!) from the type locality
5. Thick, gemmy, well-formed golden to close purple colored AXINITE-(Fe) crystal on matrix from Pakistan
6. Attractive GEM quality twinned crystal of CALICTE with STILBITE from Oregon
7. RARELY seen BARITE on AZURITE from Globe, Arizona
