NEW YEAR'S FINE MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - FEATURING SPECIMENS FROM THE KAY ROBERTSON COLLECTION - end Thursday January 4th, 2018
Ends Thursday, January 4th, 2018
at 6:45 PM (Central Time Zone)
ATTENTION: This auction will run longer than the normal period of time, so as not to interfere with Christmas and New Year's. Please note the closing date is January 4th, 2018. This auction will be combined with the auction that closed on December 21st into one billing cycle, and will start to ship after January 4th.
This week's auction is filled with new material we picked up over the last few months along with rarities, unusual pieces, gem crystals, classics and display specimens. You'll even find a few fossils, carvings / lapidary items and gemstones mixed in every now and then. Look for pieces mixed in from various collections we've obtained including Willard Wulff, Kay Robertson, Francesco Bedogné, and Paul Zerfass, along with dealers' inventories. Look here for the not so typical mineral specimens along with plenty of your favorites. We don't just offer the "standard 20 species", but an eclectic mix of specimens that appeal to everybody! Enjoy!
Some of the highlights from this week's auction include:
1. Beautiful rare, purple and yellow bicolor GEM crystal of Ametrine with a rare "c" {0001} face from Bolivia
2. Excellent and attractive "bent" crystals of bubble gum pink TOURMALINE on QUARTZ from the Himalaya Mine, San Diego County, California
3. Classic, gemmy, rich orange colored DOUBLY-TERMINATED IMPERIAL TOPAZ crystal from Brazil
4. Rarities include species such as TONDIITE, SPHAEROCOBALTITE and BOULANGERITE
5. SUPERB quality, GEMMY cubic crystals of FLUORITE with GALENA from the Stotfield Burn Mine, Weardale, England
6. An aesthetic CALCITE specimen from the Camp Bird Mine, Ouray Co., Colorado (ex Dave Bergman Collection) 7. Assorted specimens from Brazil from the collection of Rolando Gioia
